About
Dr. Jeong Gyu-hyung is the Chairman of HanGil Eye Hospital, a board-certified ophthalmologist who founded the hospital in 1985 and built it into a Ministry of Health and Welfare designated specialty ophthalmology hospital and accredited training hospital. Under his leadership the hospital has grown to ophthalmology subspecialty coverage spanning retina, glaucoma, cataract, cornea, strabismus and pediatric ophthalmology, oculoplastics, and refractive correction, with surgical volume ranking second nationally including university hospitals.
Medical Philosophy
Dr. Jeong practices within HanGil Eye Hospital's guiding principle of "40 years on a single ophthalmology path, designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare as a specialty and training hospital" — building a hospital where subspecialty depth, surgeon training, and community service (100 free surgeries each year) reinforce each other. He believes specialty focus delivers the most reliable outcomes for patients.
