What is the difference between incisional and non-incisional double eyelid surgery in Korea?

The core difference is whether the skin is cut. The non-incisional (buried-suture / 매몰법) method creates the crease with sutures through tiny punctures — fast recovery (most swelling settles in 1–2 weeks), no visible scar, and it is reversible, but the crease can loosen over the years. The incisional method (절개) uses a fine incision so the surgeon can remove excess skin and fat and fix the crease permanently — it suits thicker or puffy lids and lasts the longest, but swelling is visible for 2–4 weeks and the scar matures over months. For slightly puffy lids in your late 20s, many surgeons suggest a partial-incision or incisional approach so excess fat can be addressed; a non-incisional crease on puffy lids tends to fade.
