Ultherapy vs. HIFU vs. Thread lift - which is best for skin tightening in Korea?
I am 38 and starting to notice some sagging around my jawline and cheeks. I am not ready for a surgical facelift but want something effective. I have been researching non-surgical options available in Korean clinics: Ultherapy, HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound), and thread lifts. Can anyone share their experiences with these treatments in Korea? Which gave you the best results? How painful were they? How long did the results last? I am particularly interested in hearing from people in their late 30s to 40s who have tried these treatments. Cost comparison would also be helpful!

All three tighten without surgery but differ. Ultherapy (microfocused ultrasound with imaging) reaches deep SMAS layers, has the most clinical track record for jawline/brow lifting, and results build over 2–3 months lasting up to ~1 year; it can be the most uncomfortable. Generic HIFU devices work similarly at lower cost but vary in energy/precision by clinic. Thread lifts give a more immediate but shorter-lived mechanical lift and suit mild jowl/cheek sagging, sometimes combined with energy devices. For late-30s/40s early laxity, many start with Ultherapy/HIFU for tightening and add threads only if there is true sagging. Discomfort is managed with numbing; ask the clinic about energy settings and how many shots are included, since under-dosing is a common reason for disappointing results.
