Korean glass skin routine - what products do Koreans actually use?
I am obsessed with achieving the famous Korean "glass skin" look - that dewy, luminous, almost transparent-looking skin that Korean celebrities have. I know it involves a multi-step skincare routine but I am confused about which products actually work. What are the key steps in a Korean glass skin routine? Which Korean brands and specific products do actual Koreans recommend (not just what is marketed to foreigners)? I have combination skin with an oily T-zone. Should I be doing the famous 10-step routine or is that overkill? Any tips for maintaining glass skin in a dry climate?

Glass skin is mostly about hydration + barrier health + sun protection, not owning every product. A realistic Korean routine: gentle cleanser, a hydrating toner (often layered/patted in), an essence or hydrating serum (snail mucin, hyaluronic acid, or panthenol are popular), a light moisturizer, and daily SPF; exfoliate gently only 1–2x/week. For combination skin, you do not need the full 10 steps — a focused 4–6 step routine is plenty and over-layering can congest the T-zone. Ingredients Koreans actually favor include niacinamide (glow/tone), hyaluronic acid and beta-glucan (hydration), and centella (calming). In a dry climate, add an occlusive step at night and a humidifier. Consistency and sunscreen matter far more than any single 'miracle' product.
