Best time of year to get plastic surgery in Korea?
I have flexibility in when I can travel to Korea for plastic surgery. Is there a best time of year to go? I have heard that extreme temperatures (hot or cold) can affect recovery. Also, are there certain times when clinics are less busy and prices might be better? I am thinking of either spring or fall. Are there any Korean holidays I should avoid when clinics might be closed? I am planning to get rhinoplasty and would like to minimize any weather-related complications during my recovery.

You have flexibility, so spring (April–May) and fall (September–October) are ideal — mild temperatures make swelling and wound care more comfortable than peak summer humidity (sweating, infection risk) or deep winter (dryness, and some patients find cold harder post-op). Avoid major Korean holidays when clinics close: Seollal (Lunar New Year, Jan–Feb) and Chuseok (around Sep–Oct), plus check national holidays around your dates. Clinics can be busier in student vacation periods (winter/summer breaks), so off-peak shoulder seasons may mean easier scheduling. For rhinoplasty specifically, avoiding heavy sweating and sun supports the cast period, which again favors spring/fall.
