I'm a woman with a high hairline - like a fivehead lol. Always felt self conscious about it, wore bangs to hide it. Finally looked into hairline lowering.
There are two options: surgical hairline lowering (they literally cut out forehead skin and move hairline down) or hair transplant to fill in the hairline. I chose transplant because the other one scared me.
Got about 1500 grafts along my hairline and temples. The procedure was maybe 5 hours. They took hair from the back of my head where it's thick.
Recovery was honestly fine. My forehead was red and dotted where the grafts went in. Wore headbands and hats for a couple weeks. Didn't tell anyone except close friends what I was doing - just said I was taking time off.
Same story as male transplants - the hair falls out around week 3 (ughhh so stressful even knowing it's normal). Then months of waiting.
Now at 10 months my hairline is SO much better. It's lower and denser. I don't need bangs to feel confident. My forehead looks normal proportioned finally.
Still using minoxidil on the rest of my hair to keep it thick. The transplanted hair is permanent though.
If you're a woman with hairline insecurities this is totally an option. Not just for men!
