I had surgery on September 8, 2021, and this is my 2-week review! The major swelling went down the same day I removed the nasal splint and stitches, but I still have some residual swelling. I've always been self-conscious about my long nose with a prominent dorsal hump. I finally decided to get surgery and, after researching various places, I went for a consultation at the place with the most before & after photos showing the nose line I wanted. The consultation was so good that I booked and had surgery at the first place I went! I wanted a shorter-looking nose with a high, refined tip, but I didn't want my nostrils to be too visible. I had a lot of requests, but the doctor listened carefully, explained everything, and performed the surgery to give me the nose I wanted! Initially, I was going to get filler in my forehead because I didn't want the 'chubby face' look that can sometimes happen with fat grafting. However, after consulting with the consultant and the doctor, I decided to get fat grafting, and it looks so natural. I've been wearing bangs my whole life, but now I can finally confidently show my forehead! I decided to get lateral canthoplasty (outer corner incision) and lower canthoplasty (under eye incision) on the day of surgery on a whim. I mentioned it to the doctor, and he consulted with me and we decided to do it together. The doctor was honest about what was and wasn't possible, rather than just saying 'yes' to everything, which made me trust him even more. I'm so satisfied because the results are exactly as I discussed and imagined!
