ulthera hurts like hell but does it work? kinda

Ok let me just say OUCH. I'd read that Ultherapy was uncomfortable but I was not prepared for how much it actually hurt. They use ultrasound to tighten skin and every pulse felt like a hot needle. Even with numbing cream.

The treatment took about 90 minutes and I was gripping the chair the whole time. Some areas were worse than others - jaw line and under chin were brutal.

Immediately after my face was red and a bit swollen like a sunburn. That went away by the next day. No real downtime which is nice.

Here's the thing about Ulthera - results are SLOW. It works by stimulating collagen which takes time to build up. At 1 month I thought this was a waste of money tbh. But around month 3 I started noticing my jawline was a bit tighter.

Now at 6 months there's definitely improvement. Like maybe 20-30%? It's not dramatic and it's not like a facelift. But things are tighter. My jowls are less pronounced.

Was it worth the pain and cost? Honestly I'm on the fence. It helped but didn't transform anything. If you're expecting major results you'll be disappointed. If you want subtle tightening and can handle the pain it's ok.

Would I do it again? Maybe. Probably try something else first though.
