My original nose was a bit chubby and the skin was thick, so it looked blunt. I also had a slight dorsal hump, which made my nose look bigger, which was stressful. I wanted to get rhinoplasty, but I was a little scared of surgery, so I got fillers about 5 years ago. After getting fillers, it seemed like the fillers were still there, and my nose looked even bigger and more puffy than before, which stressed me out. My friends were getting rhinoplasty, so I thought I should get it too and started researching, and ended up getting it at Weavers. The most important thing for me was improving my bulbous nose, and I wanted it to be slim, defined, and natural, with a height that suited my face. It was my first surgery, so I had consultations at several places, but most hospitals had noses that were too pointy or too high and dramatic. Dramatic noses are pretty, but I thought a natural nose would suit my face better, and I found dramatic noses to be a bit much. At Weavers, I saw before and after photos during the consultation, and the shape of the nose tip was different from other hospitals, it looked natural and not overwhelming even when it was high. Also, the doctor drew pictures and explained things during the consultation, which made it easier to understand. He explained even the parts that I didn't understand while researching, which gave me confidence. It's peak season now, so the waiting time was long at other hospitals, but the consultation ended in about 5 minutes and I talked more with the consultant, which was disappointing. Weavers also had a waiting time, but Dr. Shim Jeong-hwan explained everything carefully and consulted me according to the direction I wanted, so I decided to have surgery there. From the day of the surgery to a few days after, it was difficult to breathe because of the splint and swelling in my nose, but I don't even remember how the week after removing the splint went by. I heard that walking is good for reducing swelling, so I went for a walk almost every evening. It was so hot in the summer, so I couldn't do warm compresses much, but I think the swelling went down a lot because I walked a lot. It's only been a month, but even with the swelling, the line is exactly what I wanted. When I look at it from the front, my nose looks more defined than before, so my nostrils also look smaller. I especially like the line of my nose when viewed from the side. I'm satisfied with the height right now, and my forehead line looks prettier because my nose is higher! I wonder if it will get slimmer when the swelling goes down more? [Photo before surgery]
