I was very worried that the swelling and bruising would be severe after the surgery, but I had no bruising at all, and the swelling was minimal, so it was relatively easy to go out. I was very nervous on the day of the surgery, but the doctor kept talking to me, and the nurses were also kind, which helped me feel less nervous.
