Before getting double eyelid surgery, the things I was most worried about were the swelling period and the pain.
Summer vacation wasn't as long as winter vacation, so I thought I would be too embarrassed to go to school with the swelling not completely gone.
Also, it was surgery done under local anesthesia, so I was really scared of the anesthesia injection.
Before the surgery, I consulted with the doctor who would perform the surgery several times.
He made double eyelids by pressing my eyelids with something like a stick to create the exact line I wanted.
I was happy because the line was exactly what I wanted.
I also consulted with the doctor on the day of the surgery to confirm one last time before going in, but the operating table was so scary.
It was so painful when he put in the anesthesia injection that it was hard.
I fidgeted with my hands a lot. After the surgery, it was amazing that I had no sensation in my eyes. I went straight home and diligently applied ice packs and hot packs.
Today is +99 days after the surgery, and I'm very, very satisfied.
It still stings a little when I draw eyeliner on the inside of my double eyelids, but the swelling was almost gone within a week, and the line isn't very noticeable, so I get a lot of compliments that it's naturally pretty.
