thread lift at 42 - wanted to avoid surgery

Not gonna lie I was nervous about getting a face lift at my age but also not happy with my sagging jawline and jowls. Thread lift seemed like a good middle ground - less invasive than surgery.

Basically they insert these tiny threads under your skin that lift things up. Takes about an hour, just local anesthesia. I was awake the whole time which was weird but not painful. Felt some pulling and tugging.

Results were visible immediately which was cool. My jawline was more defined and jowls lifted. Face was a bit swollen and I had some bruising at the entry points for about a week.

The weird part - I could feel the threads for the first couple weeks. Like this strange sensation when I moved my face certain ways. That went away eventually.

Now 3 months in and I'm happy with it. Is it as dramatic as a full face lift? No definitely not. But there's visible improvement and I look more rested. My friend said I look like I got really good sleep lol.

The thing is these results don't last forever - maybe 1-2 years. So I'll probably need to do it again eventually. But as someone who wasn't ready for surgery, this was a good option. Just manage expectations - it's a lift, not a transformation.
