Had a bunch of sun spots on my face from years of not wearing sunscreen (I know I know). Finally got laser treatment to deal with them.

Got something called pico laser - supposed to be better than older lasers for pigmentation. Takes maybe 20-30 mins for full face. Feels like rubber bands snapping on your skin. Not pleasant but bearable.

Right after treatment my spots got DARKER which freaked me out but apparently that's normal? They darken then crust over then flake off. Took about a week for the crusty stuff to fall off. Looked kinda gross during that time so I worked from home.

After 1 treatment my spots were maybe 50% lighter. Did 3 treatments total spaced a month apart. Now most of my spots are like 80% gone. Some stubborn ones are still faintly there but way less noticeable.

The annoying part is I have to be SO careful about sun now. Like obsessive sunscreen reapplication or the spots can come back. The tech told me sun protection is more important than the laser itself for maintaining results.

Overall happy with it. My skin looks way more even. Just wish I'd worn sunscreen earlier and avoided this whole situation lol. Learn from my mistakes.
