So here's my story. Got rhinoplasty 4 years ago at a clinic that shall remain nameless. Came out with a pinched tip and a crooked bridge. Plus I couldn't breathe properly through my left nostril. It was BAD.
Lived with it for years because I was scared to get another surgery. Finally couldn't take it anymore and found a revision specialist. These surgeons specifically fix botched nose jobs which is a whole subspecialty apparently.
Consult was thorough - CT scan showed the internal damage from the first surgery. Doc was realistic that revision is harder and results won't be perfect but he could fix the pinched tip and straighten things out. Also fix my breathing.
Had to use cartilage from my ear because my nose cartilage was damaged from the first surgery. Weird right? But you can't even tell anything was taken from my ear now.
Recovery was rougher than my first rhinoplasty. More swelling, more bruising. But I expected that going in. Nose is still swollen at 5 months but already SO much better than before. The pinched look is gone. My tip has actual definition now. And I can BREATHE again through both nostrils!
Moral: research your surgeon thoroughly the FIRST time. But if you're living with a bad result, revision is possible. Just find someone who specializes in it.
