Nose revision surgery in Korea - scared but need advice
Secondary RhinoplastyI had rhinoplasty done 5 years ago and my implant has started to become visible through my skin, especially at the tip. I can actually see the outline of the implant now and it is getting worse. I have been told I need revision surgery to correct this. I am considering going to Korea for the revision as I have heard they handle complex cases well. Has anyone had nose revision surgery in Korea for implant-related complications? What was the process like? Did they remove the old implant and replace it with something else? I am really anxious about going through surgery again but I cannot live with how my nose looks now.

Implant edges becoming visible at the tip years later is one of the most common reasons for nose revision, and it is correctable. Typically the surgeon removes the old implant and rebuilds with your own tissue — septal, ear, or rib cartilage — which integrates naturally and avoids recurrence of implant show-through, sometimes with dermal/fascia coverage over thin tip skin. Revision is more complex than your first surgery due to scarring and skin changes, so seek a surgeon who specifically sub-specializes in revision rhinoplasty and ask to see comparable cases. Your anxiety is understandable, but this is a well-trodden problem with reliable solutions.
