My inner thighs touched my entire life. Didn't matter how thin I got - they rubbed together. Chafing in summer was SO annoying. Finally got inner thigh lipo.
Surgery was about 1.5 hours. They made tiny incisions near my groin area - basically invisible now. Took out about a liter of fat total from both thighs.
Recovery was uncomfortable in a different way than I expected. Walking felt weird because of where the swelling was. Had to wear compression shorts for like 6 weeks. Couldn't really work out for a month.
Bruising was INSANE. Like my thighs looked like I got beat with a bat. Purple, blue, yellow, green - the whole rainbow. Took almost a month to fully fade.
The swelling took forever to go down because the legs are low and fluid pools there apparently. At 2 months I was frustrated because they still looked kinda thick. But my surgeon kept telling me to wait.
Now at 5 months - my thighs don't touch anymore!! I can wear shorts without that annoying rubbing. Jeans fit so much better. It's honestly life changing for something that seems so small.
There's one small area that's slightly uneven but my surgeon said it might improve with massage. Even if it doesn't I'm still thrilled.
