rhinoplasty recovery is no joke but worth it

Getting my nose done was probably the scariest thing I've ever done. I had a pretty big bump on my bridge that I HATED in photos and my tip was super droopy. Spent like 2 years researching before finally booking.

Consult was thorough - doc took photos, did some computer imaging thing to show what I could look like. I was very clear I didn't want to look "done" - just wanted MY nose but better if that makes sense.

Surgery day I was so nervous I barely slept the night before. They put me under general anesthesia and next thing I knew I was waking up with a cast on my face. Felt groggy and nauseous from the anesthesia tbh.

First week was HARD. Couldn't breathe through my nose at all. Sleeping was uncomfortable - had to stay elevated. The cast was itchy. I was bruised under my eyes like someone punched me. Honestly I was questioning my life choices lol.

Cast came off day 7 and I literally gasped. My nose was SO swollen I looked like a completely different person and not in a good way. Doc said this is normal and to be patient. That was the hardest part - just waiting.

Weeks 2-4 the swelling went down a lot. By month 2 I was feeling ok about going out without worrying everyone was staring at my nose. Now at 7 months and I LOVE IT. Bump is gone tip is lifted and it still looks like me, just better.

If you're considering this just know the first month kinda sucks but it gets so much better.
